Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of Jordan Visits Vice President IKEDA

On September 24, Mr. Ali Al Arabiyat, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim, and Mr. Omar Alhazaimeh, Political Officer, from the Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan visited the University of Tsukuba. They met with Vice President and Executive Director for Global Affairs, Prof. IKEDA Jun, Director of the Office of Global Initiatives, Prof. SAKURAI Takeaki, and Director of the Center for Artificial Intelligence Research, Prof. SAKURAI Tetsuya.

During the meeting, Mr. Al Arabiyat introduced the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and explained how the country has incorporated Japanese-style education in its elementary schools.
Following the discussions, the delegation visited the Tsukuba Industrial Liaison and Cooperative Research Center (ILC) and were able to enjoy the early autumn atmosphere of the campus during their visit.

Further collaborations and exchanges between the University of Tsukuba and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan are expected after this visit.
