Al-Farabi Kazakh National University's University of Tsukuba Office Opening Ceremony held

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University's (KazNU) University of Tsukuba Office (AL-Farabi Center) opening ceremony was held on December 22. KazNU is one of the eleven Campus-in-Campus (CiC) partner universities.

The office was opened concurrently with the 1,150th anniversary of the birth of Al-Farabi. A delegation led by His Excellency Mr. Yerlan Baudarbek-Kozhatayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Japan visited the University of Tsukuba and attended the ceremony. Rector Mutanov Galimkair Mutanovich, the First Vice Rector Burkitbayev Mukhambetkali Myrzabaevich, and others attended online from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. From the University of Tsukuba, President NAGATA Kyosuke, Vice President for Global Affairs BENTON Caroline F., Executive Officer OHNEDA Osamu, Director of the Office of Global Initiatives, Professor USUYAMA Toshinobu of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Professor ONO Masaki of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and others attended. Following the opening ceremony, a commemorative lecture by Professor Aliya Massalimova, Dean of the Department of Philosophy and Political Science of KazNU was held.
