President of the French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA) visits Vice President BENTON

On April 23, a delegation from the French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA) headed by Philippe Mauguin made a courtesy visit to Vice President BENTON Caroline F. (Global Affairs), Director Osamu Ohneda (Office of Global Initiatives), Dean Hiroshi Matsumoto of the Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences, Director Hiroshi Ezura of the Tsukuba-Plant Innovation Research Center, Professor Chiaki Matsukura (Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences), and Assistant Professor Lombardo Fabien Claude Renaud (Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences).


For President Philippe Mauguin's first visit to the University of Tsukuba, Vice President BENTON gave the university outline and Professor Matsukura explained the history of the research and educational exchange between INRA and the University of Tsukuba through the French-Japanese Joint Laboratory. Subsequently, it has been confirmed that a new agreement of the International Joint Laboratory will be signed.
