Delegation from Eindhoven University of Technology visits Vice President Benton

On November 22, Dean Lin-Lin Chen and Professor Pierre Levy of the Department of Industrial Design of Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands made a courtesy visit to Vice President Benton Caroline (Global Affairs).


Exchanges have been engaged between the Department of Industrial Design of Eindhoven University of Technology and the Faculty of Art and Design of the University of Tsukuba by concluding a faculty-level agreement. This time we will conclude a new partnership agreement among the Graduate School of Systems and Information Engineering, College of Engineering Systems, and Ph.D. Program in Empowerment Informatics supported by Data Science Center of Eindhoven University of Technology and the Center for Artificial and Intelligence Research of the University of Tsukuba.


They reported that many students are interested in learning at our university as an exchange student. Also they reported that there are many global companies such as Philips and ASML in Eindhoven City and showed statistics saying that seventy percent of international students have remained within the city by getting a job even after graduation.


After the meeting, the delegation went on a tour of the Empowerment Studio facilities with professors of the Faculty of Engineering, Information and Systems and the Faculty of Art and Design. The universities are expected to advance an exchange of students and researchers in the field of information and systems focused on engineering.
