President Nagata Attends the AEARU Board Meeting and the AEARU Annual General Meeting

The Association of East Asian Research Universities (AEARU) held its 43rd Board of Directors Meeting and 24th Annual General Meeting at National Taiwan University, on November 14. President Kyosuke Nagata, a chairperson of the AEARU Board of Directors, Vice President Benton Caroline (Global Affairs), and Director Osamu Oneda (Office of Global Initiatives) attended the meetings.


President Kyosuke Nagata served as a chairperson and Vice President Benton Caroline do as a moderator of the meeting. During the meeting, an accounting report by the third quarter of 2018 was released and an activity plan and management policy for 2019 were discussed.


The Association of East Asian Research Universities (AEARU) is a regional organization founded in 1996, with the goals of forming a forum for the presidents of leading research-oriented universities in East Asia and of carrying out mutual exchanges between the major universities in the region. AEARU's activities include the Annual General Meeting, Board of Directors Meeting by representative universities, an international symposium on a specific theme, and a student summer camp.


The next 25th Annual General Meeting will be held at Yonsei University in Korea.
