Center for Research on International Cooperation in Educational Development (CRICED) hosted a panel discussion on "How to adapt Japanese-style Education, how it is meaningful" at MEXT


Opening remark by Mr. Kentaro Tanaka, Deputy Director for Global Affairs of the University of Tsukuba.


On the 14th June 2018, the Center for Research on International Cooperation in Educational Development (CRICED) hosted a panel discussion on "How to adapt Japanese-style Education, how it is meaningful" at Joho Hiroba in the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan (MEXT). After the opening remark by Mr. Kentaro Tanaka, Deputy Director for Global Affairs of the University of Tsukuba, Prof. Masami Isoda (Director for CRICED, University of Tsukuba), Assoc. Prof. PhD. Maitree Inprasitha (Dean for Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University, Thailand), Assoc. Prof. PhD. Kulthida Tuamsuk (Dean for Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University), and Prof. PhD. Kanok Wongtrangan (Former Adviser of Prime Minister, Thailand) provided some insights and opinion regarding the potential and strength of Japanese-style Education, the achievement of CRICED, and the collaboration with Thailand. The members also had a discussion with the officials of various Embassies regarding the topic. After the three weeks announcement CRICED had sent prior, we received 36 participants and many more Embassies officials. The panel was a success. It ends successfully.


This event was a part of an exhibition called "Spread the charms of Japanese-style Education to the world." (May-Aug). CRICED, operated by Global Affairs of University of Tsukuba (UT) since April 2018, will continue to extend the activity as a global Research & Development base.
